M.Sc. (Computer Science), PG Centre, Jnana Kaveri 40 Two Years (4 Semesters)
Ph.D. Computer Science As per University Regulation Minimum Three/Four Years and maximum five/six years for full-time and part-time research respectively.

Eligibility for all the programs

M.Sc. – COMPUTER SCIENCE

Candidates who have passed any of the following Bachelor Degrees from Mangalore University or any other university considered as equivalent thereto are eligible for  the programme provided  they have scored minimum of 45% (40% for  SC/ ST/ Category–I) aggregate marks excluding languages and group III subjects. 
B.Sc. Degree with Computer Science / Computer Applications (Vocational) as optional/major/subsidiary subjects or B.Sc. (Hons) Degree with Computer Science/Computer Systems/Information Science/Information Systems or B.Sc. degree with Mathematics/ Statistics/Physics/Electronics/Instrumentation as optional/major/ subsidiary along with P.G. Diploma in Computer Applications/ Computer Science/Information Technology or Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) (Integrated Programme) or Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT). 
OR
Bachelor of Information Science (BIS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech).  Selection of candidates shall be on merit-cum-reservation on the basis of 50:50 weightage for marks in the entrance and qualifying examinations.

MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS:

Candidates who have passed Bachelor Degree examinations with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of all the years of the Degree examination. However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Category-I, the aggregate percentage of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than 45%.
Provided that the candidates shall have passed Bachelor Degree with not less than 50% marks with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Application/Computer Programming / Business Mathematics/Business Statistics as one of the optional/elective subject. However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Category-I, the percentage of marks shall not be less than 45%.
Provided further that in respect of candidates who have studied and passed one of the subjects specified above in the Pre-University Course with 50% marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission. However, in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Category-I, 45% marks in that subject shall be considered for admission. 
The selection and the eligibility criteria determined by the Government of Karnataka from time to time shall be followed for state level selection.
Note:The Entrance Examination and the selection of the candidates for M.C.A. Degree programme will be made by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
