At the time of admission

The fees to be paid at the time of admisssion are as given below. Fees have to be paid through challan at Vijaya Bank branch in the University Shopping Complex opposite the Hostel. Any payments in cash shall not be entertained at the Hostel office.

*Room Rent

  • Working Women will pay 8% of their gross salary (including HRA) or Rs.350/- whichever is higher per month. Government employees will pay the actual HRA drawn per month.
  • Research scholars who have a fellowship /are working under a research project will pay 8% of their fellowship/salary (excluding HRA or Rs.350/-) whichever is higher,per month.
  • Research scholars without fellowship will pay Rs.350.00/- per month.
  • Guest lecturers will pay 8% of their salary or Rs.350/- whichever is higher per month.
  • Teachers doing research under F.I.P programme shall pay 8% of their gross salary per month.

Monthly charges

The charges to be paid every month are as follows:

Establishment charges - Rs.500.00

Electricity charges - as notified

Mess charges - as notified

  • The residents should pay the monthly charges regularly. Defaulters are liable to be expelled from the Hostel. SC and ST students who are receiving Government of India Scholarships are eligible for reimbursement of their monthly mess bill.
  • All requests for certificates to authorities outside the University will be charged Rs.50 per certificate.
  • Fines in the case of damage to property, writing on walls and cupboards, ragging and so on, will be levied on the student/s.
  • Students who wish to stay for a part of the holidays after closure of term may stay with the approval of the Warden on payment of guest charges.
  • Students who take admissions to the Hostel on or before 15th of the month have to pay full Hostel charges as applicable.However, students who take admissions after 15th of the month have to pay Rs.75/- per day as boarding charges and electricity charges only.

Caution Deposit

  • On admission, the resident shall deposit the required sum of Rs.4,000/- as Caution deposit. This amount will be kept against their names and refunded to the students at the end of the second/fourth semester.
  • The Caution deposit will be used to claim any uncleared dues,including fees.
  • If at any time dues exceed Caution deposit, it shall cause action to dismiss the resident from the Hostel.
