M.Sc. Yogic Science

20+12+10

4 Semesters         (2 years)

Candidates who have passed any Bachelor Degree or Post graduate Degree/Diploma examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto are eligible for the programme provided they have secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) marks in aggregate including languages and Group III subjects. Candidates holding Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga with pass class at the Undergraduate level are also eligible for the programme.

 

P.G. Diploma in Yogic Science

16+10

2 Semesters

(1 years)

Only those candidates who have passed any Bachelors Degree examination or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent will be eligible for the Post Graduation Diploma course and examination. Minimum marks 45% (in case of SC/ST 40% are eligible to apply). Selection on the basis of merit and according to the Government’s reservation policy existing at that time.

Ph.D.

As per University Regulation

Minimum Three/Four years and maximum five/six years for full time and part-time research respectively.

A candidate who has obtained a Master Degree from any University in the State or from any other University recognized as equivalent thereto securing not less than 55% marks in aggregate as a whole shall be eligible to register for the Ph.D. Degree Programme. However, in the case of SC/ST and the category-I candidates, the minimum marks required shall be 50%.

Certificate Course In Yogic Science Programme

Three months

Only those candidates who have passed Xth Class examination or its equivalent will be eligible for the certificate course and examination. Selection on the basis of merit and according to the Government’s reservation policy existing at that time.

Introductory Course in Yogic Science – I

One Month

A candidate shall be declared to have passed each examination unless he/she obtains not less than 40% marks each in written and practical examination and 50% marks in the aggregate in the written examination and internal assessment put together in each paper. A candidate who fails in any paper shall take the whole examination in all papers at any subsequent examination. There shall be no minimum marks for a pass in internal assessment.

Introductory Course in Yogic Science – II (Advanced)

One Month

A candidate shall be declared to have passed each examination unless he/she obtains not less than 40% marks each in written and practical examination and 50% marks in the aggregate in the written examination and internal assessment put together in each paper. A candidate who fails in any paper shall take the whole examination in all papers at any subsequent examination. There shall be no minimum marks for a pass in internal assessment.
