M.Sc. Geography

1. General Category - 20 Seats

2. Partially Self Financing     Scheme - 10 Seats

3. Defence Personnel / Ex-Serviceman / Physically Differently abled / NCC / NSS /Scouts/Cultural Activity /M.U.Employee/J&KMigrants / N.E. State / Transgender / Sports Persons - 10 Seats.

Four Semesters (2 years course)

Candidates who have passed Under Graduate Degree Examination of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto with Geography as optional/major/minor subject are eligible for the programme provided they secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) marks.

If intake of seats are remained vacant then the candidates having any degree shall be filled through entrance examination with 50:50 ratio of degree and entrance examination, provided they have secured a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/ Category-I candidates) marks in the cognate subject.

A bridge course for non-geography students shall be conducted within a month after adminission.

Ph.D. Geography

As per University Regulation

Minimum Three/Four Years and maximum five/six years for full-time and part-time research respectively.
