Nature and type of Research
The department has active research groups in the following areas: Econometrics, Time Series Analysis, Financial Time Series, Inventory Theory, Stochastic Finance, Non-parametric Regression, Linear and Non-linear models. In the last 20 years, 25 Research Scholars were awarded with Ph.D and 11 students were awarded with M.Phil degrees. The department published around 150 research papers. Most of these research papers are published in the reputed international journals. Currently, there are 11 Research Scholars doing research work in the different areas.
