Facilities

The Department is equipped with three different laboratories to cater the needs of the today’s industry/research establishments. All the systems housed in each laboratory are in a local area network and can be looked to either Linux environment/work as a stand alone system on windows – XP platform.

Laboratory - 1:

consists of presently twenty high end, HP Pro series 6200 SSF desktop. Intel core i5  Processor, 2400 3.10 GHz, 4 GB RAM with 500 GB HDD. Operating systems  windows 7. These systems are loaded with database tools, network programming tools, visual development tools and research tools such as MATLAB for high-end. 

Laboratory – 2:

It is equipped with totally Twenty two HCL, Intel Core 2 Duo E8500+ Processor with Speed 3.16 GHz, 1333MHz FSB , 4 GB DDR2 800MHz ,HDD: 500GB 7200 rpm SATA 17 ” Color TFT Wide Monitor, Operating Systems: UBUNTU Linux.

In addition to this, there is a server room that consists of Two HP Server HP ProLiant ML110 G6 NHP Model, HDD: HP 1TB 3G SATA, 8 GB RAM, Ubuntu Linux operating system and Microsoft Server 2008 and IBM Think centre Pentium – IV having Windows XP attached with HP scanner.

Research Laboratory:

This Laboratory has been equipped with twenty Wipro Make Computer systems with Intel 3rd Generation i3-3220, 3.3 GHz, 4GB DDR3 RAM  500 GB 7200 rpm Serial ATA HDD  18.5” LED/TFT Monitor, Key Board, Mouse, DVD-RW+DVD-ROM 10/100Mbbs Ethernet card, Windows XP Professional. All these systems have been networked and are loaded with basic tools to learn programming skills and system architecture. Semester course work and to conduct research work.

Teaching Aid Equipments:

The Department is equipped with teaching aids like OHPs, LCD projectors, for handling theory and practical classes in an effective manner and for better understanding subjects in a semester scheme.

Internet Facility:

The department has an internet speed line of 2 Mbps connectivity, through the Computer Centre. Internet facility is provided around the clock to both students and staff for the effective usage of resources.

Audio-Visual Equipments:

In addition to learning in the classes, the department has Audio-Visual facility for enhancing the knowledge of students by themselves. The self paced learning materials available in the field of Computer Science are as follow:
