SPARSH

(Sensitization, Prevention & Redress of Sexual Harassment)

The committee is functioning through the administrative structure given by the University. Awareness of the existence of the cell is created by displaying  pamphlets on the notice board of the departments, offices of the University and other central facilities.

Lectures, Workshops are conducted for the students, research scholars, teaching and non-teaching staff of the campus, and various competitions are held to create awareness about sexual harassment in the workplace and the possible means of redress.

The committee consists of chairperson, non-teaching woman representative, SC/ST  woman representative,  teacher representative, female faculty members , research scholars, student representatives, NGO representative and a legal advisor.

There is also an Internal Complaints Committee - ICC consisting of four members, namely, the chairperson, two female faculty and a legal advisor, which looks into the complaints that come to SPARSH.
