Events organized by the Department:

National Conference, SOBSICON 2014(Society of Biological Scientists of India conference) from 17^th to 20^th November 2014, was jointly organized with Mangalore University, Yenepoya University and SOBSI. 17^th Nov. 2014:   Pre-conference Workshop at Mangala Auditorium, Mangalore University with 5 invited resource persons - 175 delegates participated. 18^th to 20^th Nov.  2014:   3 days’ Conference at Yenepoya University: 138 abstracts were received and 11 invited guest speakers - 300 delegates participated.

Special invited talk by the Adjunct Professor, Prof. A.R. Reddy from Hyderabad was organized on 14^th Sept. 2015.

National Conference BNPHC (Bioactive Natural Products & Health Care) 2017 was organized on 6^th & 7^th of October 2017, in Chikka Aluvara.

GIAN program on “Lung inflammation & Respiratory Diseases” by Foreign faculty, Prof. Vijay Boggaram of Texas University. Conducted GIAN (Global Initiative for Academic Network) course from 6^th Nov. to 11^th Nov. 2017 successfully with 18 participants.

39^th IABMS Annual Summit and International Conference from 15^th to 17^th Nov. 2018 at Jnana Kaveri, PG Centre, Mangalore University, Chikka Aluvara. Dr. Sarada Subramaniam Memorial Pre-Conference Workshop was held on 15^th Nov. 2018 (63 participants); 4 resource persons and two days’ conference, registered by 265 delegates, 51 oral presentations & 97 poster presentations (148 abstracts) received and 54 renowned invited speakers participated from 15^th to 17^th Nov. 2018.

• Special lecture series are being arranged for the benefit of the PG students, researchers and junior faculty since 2007 till date.
• Fresher’s party for new post graduates, farewell party for the outgoing post graduates, Teachers’ Day, Independence Day and Republic Day are celebrated every year.
