B.Sc. degree of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto with Physics as optional/ major/special subject and Chemistry/Electronics/Instrumentation/ Electronic Equipment Maintenance/ Computer Science/ Statistics as major / optional or subsidiary subject with a minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/Category-I candidates) marks in the two cognate subjects, separately. The candidates who have not studied Chemistry at the undergraduate level must have studied Chemistry at P.U.C./Higher Secondary level.

M.Phil.

As per University regulation

Two semesters of six month each

Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks(50% for SC/ST candidates) in the related field.

Ph.D.

As per University regulation

Three/Four Years and maximum five/six years for full-time and part-time research respectively.

Second class Master's degree (minimum of 55%) in the subject/allied subject.
