Research Laboratory:

Equipped with major equipments such as  Vacuum Thin Film Coating Units with electron beam evaporation and sputtering facility, thickness monitor, a Keithley system DMM, Shimadzu Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Shimadzu Thermo Mechanical analyzer, Olympus/Kocom Metallurgical microscope with CCD camera, Bruker X-ray powder diffractometer, Shimadzu UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer, Nanosurf Atomic Force Microscope, Newtons 4 Impedance Analyzer, Universal testing machine.

Research Areas:

 a) Shape memory alloys and actuators.

 b) Thin film and Island thin films.

 c) Polymer blends and conducting polymers.

 d) Irradiation of materials

 e) Metal & Semiconducting nanoparticles.

M.Sc. Laboratories: Full- fledged laboratories for post graduate students to carry out experiments designed to impart in-depth knowledge of the physical and chemical aspects of materials.
